Norddine Bennani (Partner)
Norddine Bennani graduated from the École Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique (ENSAE, Paris) and holds a Master in Probability Applied to Finance from University of Paris VI. Specialized in quantitative models applied to finance, he has more than 20 years’ experience in quantitative analytics, working in the Front Office department of major investment banks.
Norddine was Head of Quantitative Analytics – Credit Structured Products at Barclays Capital before joining the Correlation Trading desk at Deutsche Bank.
His primary focus has been on Credit Derivatives. He has been involved in large scale projects, from developing new pricing and risk frameworks to the implementation of trading and risk systems. He has first-hand experience of risk and regulatory capital management of a large credit portfolio.
He became co-founder of BMA in 2013 with Dominique Marchal.
Norddine Bennani has published several working papers on credit derivatives modelling and risk management techniques. He has been presenting at various conferences on quantitative analytics and risk management.
The BMA Team recognizes Norddine’s qualities such as perspicacity, fast thinking, and implication on a daily basis. His leading skills and wish to give the staff autonomy are highly appreciated, as well as his effective communication to clients.
Dominique Marchal (Partner)
Dominique Marchal has more than 25 years’ experience in risk management and macroeconomic analysis, working in the fund industry, commercial banks and in the Eurosystem of central banks. Dominique graduated as statistician-economist from the ENSAE, holds a Master from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Strasbourg, and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
He was Head of Assets and Liabilities Management for a subsidiary of the French Groupe des Caisses d’Épargne, then Head of UCITS III risk management solutions at CACEIS Bank, before joining the Banque centrale du Luxembourg, in charge of Credit Risk analysis.
Dominique has been in charge of several projects and has developed expertise in a wide range of key risk management areas, from market, credit, liquidity and operational risk to performance analysis and ALM, in both the investment funds and the banking industry.
In 2013 he co-founded BMA with Norddine Bennani.
He has been approved by the CSSF as Conducting Officer in charge of Risk Management and Compliance for several AIFMs managing private market vehicles, incl. two Private Equity AIFMs (> EUR 10 Bn). He is a lecturer in risk management at the University of Luxembourg.
Solution-oriented manager, the BMA Team appreciates Dominique for his patience, care, and interpersonal skills. Excellent marketer, he knows how to move forward in all aspects of his scope of work and lead his team through challenging moments.
Alice Desnos (Business Development & Operations Officer)
Office & Administration Manager for a Private Equity AIFM during the last five years, Alice Desnos joined BMA in October 2022 as a Business Development & Operations Officer. Authentic and result-oriented, her role consists in managing all administrative and communication aspects of BMA (website & social media management, Office Management, contracts drafting, HR matters...). Alice also supports and advises one of BMA’s clients on Compliance, ESG & Corporate matters.
Continuous improvement-driven, Alice graduated from Aix-Marseille Université (Master in Chinese Studies, PhD in History of Taiwan) and from the École Supérieure de Gestion in Paris (MBA in Management & Marketing in the Luxury sector). Before working in the finance sector, Alice had experiences in sales, teaching and executive assistant duties in Taiwan, China, France and Luxembourg.
Lifelong language learner and French native speaker, she is fluent in English and Mandarin and has a good level in Spanish, Luxembourgish and German.
Marc Reitz (Senior Risk Analyst)
Senior Risk Analyst having joined BMA in 2014, Marc Reitz has first focused on the development of the risk analytics tools, implementing quantitative models. Walking his way out of the paved path of academic mathematics towards finance, he found within BMA the perfect place to make a contribution using his skills as a Master Graduate in Mathematics, Probabilities and Statistics from the University of Lorraine.
As the BMA client base grew over the years, Marc took over more and more client projects, from risk models validation project to ESMA risk requirements implementation, also touching base on funds risk profiling, risk appetite assessment, compliance monitoring and more, in private equity in particular. Expert in risk management within BMA, Marc is particularly enthusiastic in seeing the team growing.
Hugo Renvoisé (Senior Risk Analyst)
Dynamic, creative and client-minded, Hugo Renvoisé manages a large number of client projects within BMA, focused on making a contribution that truly adds value to the end-client’s operations. Graduated with a Master in Corporate Strategy and Finance in Europe from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Strasbourg, Hugo has joined the BMA Team in March 2017.
Since then, he demonstrates a strong appetite for applying his skills in risk management to investment funds ranging from UCITS to Private Equity, as well as real estate and liquidities.
French and English speaker, Hugo is managing successfully missions such as risk implementation and reporting, Conducting Officer and Risk Manager mandates, PRIIPs and much more for BMA’s clients.
Marwa Hallat (Senior Risk Analyst)
Graduated with a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Probabilities and Statistics from the University of Lorraine, Marwa Hallat started with BMA in April 2018. She was attracted by the fact BMA offers concrete applications of theory learned during her academic years, as well as the possibility to run projects from A to Z.
Bringing humor and positivity to the team, she strongly believes in continuous learning to remain at the very top of her professional skills. Undertaking each new project and challenge with a curious mindset and a keen eye for details, Marwa enjoys every moment of her job within BMA. She mainly manages risk reporting implementation & production, as well as market data using BMAnalytics et BMAUtils.
Marwa speaks French, English & Moroccan Arabic.
Sonia Ducep (Junior Risk Analyst)
Sonia Ducep joined BMA in April 2021. She graduated from the University of Lorraine with a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Probabilities and Statistics. Detailed-oriented and organized, she enjoys working in a human-size company and amongst a young team. Sonia has to deal with diversified tasks, like risk reporting, PRIIPS reports (EPT), and EMT.
She likes particularly having the possibility to be in direct contact with clients. Sonia’s various experiences in sports, especially martial arts, grant her with sense of precision and endurance.
French, English & Polish speaker, she also studied Russian.
Marie Garaudel (Junior Risk Analyst)
Graduated with a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Probabilities and Statistics from the University of Lorraine, Marie Garaudel joined the BMA team in September 2021 after a six-month internship as a Data Scientist within the Banque Populaire in Metz. Organized and rigorous, she was interested by the learning potential BMA had to offer to its staff, and she was proven right. She now focuses on the daily or periodic risk reporting implementation & production for BMA’s clients, as well as PRIIPS and ESG with EET.
As a semi-professional handball player, Marie is therefore a great team player and has proven her interpersonal skills. Her working languages are French and English.
Aizhan Zhakupova (Junior Risk Analyst)
Detail-oriented and innovative, Aizhan Zhakupova comes from Kazakhstan. She holds a Master’s degree in Quantitative Economic Analysis with a specialization in Digital Economics from the Université Paris Dauphine, achieving outstanding academic performance throughout her academic years.
Her journey with BMA began from September 2023 after the tenure of 3 years at the Central Bank of Kazakhstan in Monetary Policy Department, where she honed her skills in economic analysis. Joining the BMA team, Aizhan undertakes a diverse range of missions, encompassing risk reporting, PRIIPS reports and advisory services.
Aizhan speaks English, French, Russian, Turkish and Kazakh.
